The Palm on Callington
City Beach Photoshoot Location As a Sandal designer I guess it makes sense that I have a keen interest in design across a lot of other areas as well. That said, I love beautiful homes and I love architecture, construction, renovating and interior design. Recently I was lucky enough to do a Sandal photoshoot at a stunning home in City Beach, which is a beautiful coastal suburb here in Perth, Western Australia. The home we shot at is called The Palm on Callington. It’s a Palm Springs inspired beach house and it’s available to hire for photoshoots. It has a...
Celeste Barber Tribute Sandals
A Tribute to Celeste Barber My newest Sandal design are black beauties and they’re called Celeste. I named them after Comedian Celeste Barber as a thank you for her amazing fundraising efforts during our devastating bushfires in 2020. Celeste was on Instagram everyday creating global awareness of the bushfires to her 8 million followers all over the world. Her efforts raised more than $51 million dollars. So as a tribute to Celeste I’ve named this black design Celeste and the profits from all Celeste sales will be donated to Wires Wildlife Rescue and Australian Red Cross. A big thank you...

Not surprisingly the evolution of “womenpreneurs” was identified as one of the Top 10 trends of the year. In Australia, female entrepreneurship is also an emerging trend with women-owned, women led enterprises increasing at a faster rate than male-owned businesses, according to small business and family enterprise ombudsman Bruce Billson. In Australia, approximately 38 percent of small businesses are owned by women and I’m sure this percentage will keep growing. In 2019, of the 171,000 new businesses set-up in Australia, two-thirds were...
Something Blue for the Bride
"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” This is the traditional rhyme that details what a bride should wear to her wedding for good luck. The historical thinking with this rhyme is the old item provides protection for the baby to come. The new item offers optimism for the future. The item borrowed from another happily married couple ensures good luck and the colour blue is a sign of purity and fidelity. In 2011, at the wedding of Catherine Middleton and Prince William, the bride (Kate) had: Something old – Carrickmacross lace in her wedding dress. Something new –...
