Alana Swarovski Crystal Sandals
What’s in a name? Every time I come out with a new sandal design; I’m faced with the task of coming up with yet another girl’s name. The name has to feel right, and it has to resonate with me in some way. Often, I name my sandals after a friend or someone I admire or look up to in life.
This time around I was tossing up names of this new nude design with my foot model Mikayla. Somehow, I ended up telling her about my niece who sadly went to heaven a week before her nineteenth birthday. My niece’s name was Alana and she had beautiful golden skin, blonde hair and brown eyes, so this design in gold and brown tones is a perfect match for Alana.
So, as a tribute to Alana here is my newest design. I hope you like them, and I hope Alana is watching down from heaven to see her latest namesake.
