Glamping on Rottnest Island
How fantastic is it now that there’s a glamping option on Rottnest Island!
To me Rottnest Island is a place very close to Perth where you disconnect from the world, get back to basics and reconnect with the simple life and good old days.
It’s a place with no cars, you get around on bicycles, you don’t watch TV and you hang out in bikinis and sandals all day, every day. The dressiest it gets is when you go out for dinner and then it’s a case of putting on a casual summer dress and your favourite Ankalia sandals (www.ankalia.com).
But what I really want to tell you about here is the new glamping option. Tucked in behind the sand dunes at the world-famous Pinky Beach is Rottnest’s first low impact glamping experience. It has sweeping views across The Basin and the city of Perth is just visible on the horizon.

Also, central to the property is Pinky’s Beach Club. A great place on the Island to watch the sunset, the Beach Club serves locally inspired dishes and cocktails.
There’s also a pool and boardwalks between the eco-tents to ensure the landscape is undisturbed and the flora and fauna can continue to move and grow freely.
A weekend of glamping on Rottnest Island is definitely a great getaway from Perth or a wonderful place to take the kids and get back to basics.
