Red and Gold Lunar New Year Sandals
As you may already know, my sandals are all limited-edition and I only ever make very small batches of each design.
Most recently, when it was time to come up with a new design and new colours I put it to the vote with my Instagram followers. The number one request was for a red design. So, after much deliberation I decided to do red leather with gold Swarovski crystals. These are considered lucky colours in Chinese tradition, so considering the timing of Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year it was very appropriate to do red and gold.
Once the colours were decided and the first sample pair was made, I then put it to my loyal Instagram followers to suggest a name. From the suggestions I narrowed it down to three names to choose from. They were Ruby, Rachel and Scarlet.
The number one pick with the most votes was Scarlet. So, Scarlet it is! They are ‘live’ now on the website. Check them out and see what you think.
