SJP By Sarah Jessica Parker Shoe Store New York

If you’re like me and most of my girlfriends, then you probably love shoes and you probably also love watching re-runs of Sex and the City. So, of course I could not wait to visit Sarah Jessic Parker’s shoe store in New York.

It’s called SJP By Sarah Jessica Parker and it’s in the West Village on Bleecker Street which is a “cool,” “hip” shopping street and neighbourhood.

Also, it’s really close to Carrie’s stoop (i.e., the famous front steps to her apartment), as well as the now famous cupcake bakery – The Magnolia.

The store is small and cute. It has an art deco princess feel to it. It’s a soft pink colour throughout which of course is one of my favourite colours.

Apparently, Sarah-Jessica works in the store quite often and plays shop girl fitting people with their shoes. It seems I just missed her, rumour has it that she was in the store the day before I visited. She’s been known to say for her it’s all about the ‘human connection’ between shop owner and customer.

If you love shoes, then it’s definitely worth a visit and if you’re a Sex and the City fan then it’s also worth a visit.
