Swim with Dolphins in the Wild

Rockingham Wild Encounters can make your dolphin dream come true! Located less than an hour south of Perth, Western Australia, there are over 200 local bottlenose dolphins that live, play and breed in the waters off Rockingham’s bays & islands. They don’t perform tricks and they don’t get fed. On the tour you simply get to spend some time getting up really close to the dolphins.
Our adventure began with boarding our boat in Rockingham where the crew fitted us out with a wetsuit, mask and snorkel. After an introductory briefing from the skipper, we departed the jetty on our search for the wild dolphins.
It only took us about 20 minutes to locate the first group of dolphins. During the search, our guide gave us snorkelling lessons to ensure we were ready and prepared for our encounter.
Once the skipper located some dolphins, we entered the water in small groups of 6-7 people. Each group was led by a guide using an aqua scooter who towed us right in amongst the dolphins. We got really close to them and they seemed to enjoy swimming arounds us and playing.
This is the easiest snorkelling you will ever do, simply float, put your face down and enjoy the all-natural dolphin show.
I absolutely got my thrills Interacting with these beautiful, friendly animals in their natural environment. It was so exhilarating! The dolphins also seemed to be having fun swimming around us and showing off.
If you want a true all-natural wild dolphin experience then give this tour a go!
Lots of love!
