Tiffany & Co. Fifth Avenue, New York City

The Landmark Tiffany & Co. store on Fifth Avenue in New York is an opportunity to enjoy the very best of luxury jewellery and art. Even if you’re not a jewellery lover the new store is definitely worth a visit.
Enter a place of wonder and luxury, where brilliance is found on every floor, in fact, ten floors of magnificence await you.
While the Tiffany Landmark is brand new, Tiffany & Company opened their first store in New York City in 1837. The Fifth Avenue store was immortalized in the 1961 film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” starring Audrey Hepburn.
I was lucky enough to do a private tour of the store, but I noticed that as early as 11am there was already a long queue of people waiting to get in. So, get there early and be prepared to queue.
The first floor (ground floor) was dedicated to iconic Tiffany jewellery, but I was also blown away by the huge floral displays and the digital window displays.
There were potentially nine more floors to check-out, so I took the elevator to the fifth floor next. It was packed with customers admiring cases of iconic sterling silver heart tag bracelets and racks of silk scarves.
Next, I found the homage to Audrey Hepburn and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” The movie’s theme song, “Moon River,” played on loop and Hepburn’s iconic black gown from the movie was displayed behind glass.
Next, I went to the fourth floor via the most magnificent spiral staircase I have ever seen.
The fourth floor specialised in gold and diamonds, say no more. Even the chandelier on this floor was worth seeing.
Next, I went up to the sixth floor which surprisingly housed home goods. Tables were set with Tiffany dinnerware and even the floral arrangements were fresh. The sixth floor also had some incredible modern art on display, and it also housed Tiffany’s restaurant, the Blue Box Café. The café is very, very hard to get into. You need to book well in advance, and you can barely get a glimpse of it because the blue velvet rope bars people from wandering in.
I finished my tour on the third floor which specialised in Engagement rings and also showcased more fabulous art.
At the end of my tour, I realised that Tiffany had transported me to a lavish world of luxury and opulence where everything sparkles just like my Swarovski crystal sandals.
Lots of love,
Cheryl xx
