Camilla at Claremont Quarter

Have you seen the new Camilla store at Claremont Quarter? The fit-out is beautiful. In fact, I think it’s the best fit-out in all of Claremont Quarter. It’s very much inspired by the Amalfi Coast in Italy which is where I trained as a Sandal Artisan. And I must say that Camilla outfits are stunning paired with my sandal designs.

It seems that the investment from Tattarang may have given Camilla a massive infusion of funds. Tattarang has confirmed an investment in Camilla Australia Pty Ltd (CAMILLA). The investment makes Tattarang a minority shareholder and it is believed the investment was in the vicinity of $40 million (unconfirmed).

Tattarang is actively working to level the playing field for female entrepreneurs and female led or founded businesses by allocating capital.  They claim to be supporting the next generation of female entrepreneurs who are willing to take a risk and back their dreams. This, of course resonates with me because I am one such female, having quit my corporate job 10 years ago and taking the risk of launching Ankalia.

Camilla is a brilliant example of an Australian fashion entrepreneur who started 18 years ago and has put Australian fashion on the global stage. Camilla is certainly a great role model for me.

I recommend you pay a visit to the new Camilla store. It’s always worth looking at the stunning fashion and swimwear and now it’s worth having a look to appreciate the store fit-out as well.
