International Pink Day

I’m currently pink obsessed so I was so thrilled to discover that every year on 23rd June many places around the world celebrate pink and everything that it represents.
Pink was first used as a colour name in the late 17th century and its name came from a flower called pink.
I often combine pink with white, or with blue and white which is most commonly associated with femininity, sensitivity, tenderness, childhood and romance.
I also like to combine pink with black which I find to be a more mature and stronger look. I’ve read that pink and black together is associated with seduction.
As a Sandal Artisan and pink lover, I enjoy creating some of my designs with varying degrees of pink.
Currently, I have the Rosie Sandals which are in pretty pale pink suede with gold lining and gold fixtures.
I also have the Bianca design which I named after my best friend at university in Milan.
My number one most popular design is the Isabella which has a mix of Swarovski crystals in pink, blue and green.
On International Pink Day I make sure I fill my studio with pink flowers and paint my nails pink.
Happy pink day everyone! #internationalpinkday
Lots of love,
Cheryl xx
