My Favourite Place to Stay in West Hollywood
On a recent trip to Los Angeles I stayed at Palihouse in West Hollywood. It was fantastic! I loved everything about it.
Not being one to stay in large hotel chains, I always try to stay in boutique neighbourhood hotels and that’s exactly what Palihouse is.
Everything about it was perfect and yes it did have a good neighbourhood feel. Also, importantly I felt comfortable going to the bar alone and sitting in the foyer or restaurant alone. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and the location was great – I could walk to a lot of the places I wanted to visit, such as Melrose Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.
My room was huge, in fact it was an apartment with full kitchen facilities, a really large lounge area, a spacious desk and it was big enough to “swing a cat” as they say (or big enough to do some yoga each morning).
Like a lot of people, I often judge places by the quality of their coffee. The coffee was good and the staff were able to listen and accommodate my taste for weak cappuccinos. Also, I had the best Avocado Smash every morning for breakfast. It was 10/10. Room service was sensational. The Eye Fillet for dinner was also 10/10.

So, if you’re travelling to LA and want to stay in a really nice boutique hotel in West Hollywood then I recommend Palihouse.
