Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe

Every year at the end of Summer I love to visit Sculpture by the Sea on Cottesloe beach. It’s an annual outdoor sculpture exhibition and it transforms the beach again this year from 1-18 March 2019.
Celebrating its 15th year, the exhibition is one of my favourite free outdoor events. More than 70 artists from Australia and overseas are set to showcase their work across the 18-day exhibition.
Some of Western Australia’s leading sculptors exhibiting this year are: Anne Neil, Stephen Tepper, Jennifer Cochrane, Tony Reid, Alessandra Rossi, Miik Green and Tim Macfarlane Reid.
The artworks are along the main section of Cottesloe beach, (actually right on the beach), as well as on the grassed area and stretching towards the groyne.
It gets super busy with big crowds so be prepared to park several blocks away or if you’re like me ride your bike there.
The prettiest time to see the exhibition is of course at sunset. Great for taking photos with the sun setting over the Indian Ocean in the background.
Also, this year some of the colours seem to match my latest sandal design that hasn’t been released yet. What do you think of these? I haven’t named them yet but I’m thinking I might call them Lisa. In addition to the colours in the image I can also make them for you in black or nude suede as well.

Anyhow, head on over to the exhibition. Even if the sculptures are not your thing, it might be a nice walk along the beach for you with a vibrant feeling of people and activity.
Lots of love,
Cheryl xx
